We recently completed a home extension project with Cascella and Sons Construction, and I want to give special recognition to our project manager, Brett Vandervoort. Brett took over the project after a transition from a previous manager, which came with significant challenges due to the initial underestimation of costs. Despite these setbacks, Brett was always responsive, proactive, and solution-oriented. He worked hard to navigate the complexities of Nassau County’s strict building standards and regulations, making sure we stayed on track without compromising quality. There were plenty of new obstacles along the way, but Brett never lost focus—he kept communicating clearly, problem-solving creatively, and pushing the project forward. It did take longer than expected due to various hurdles, but in the end, we have a beautiful new space that was absolutely worth it. I truly appreciate Brett’s professionalism, dedication, and persistence throughout the process.
Cascella and Sons Construction Team did an excellent job with our extensive renovation project and capturing our vision. We had a rear addition with 2nd floor above, custom kitchen, four bathrooms, deck, garage conversion, portico, new floors and new HVAC system installed. We did a full renovation and dormer to our home. We are very happy with the final results. One major job was expanding the kitchen, dining, new stairs and living area to upgrade to a more open layout and they nailed it. I can not recommend Cascella and Sons highly enough. For over a decade they have been the only contracting company I trust to come near my home. (And it will remain that way). I recently did a first floor renovation as well as the addition of a 3rd bathroom. Within days of the walkthrough I had the detailed proposal (which I thoroughly appreciated), and within a week work had started. Ciro and Sal were beyond attentive. Coming into it, I was unsure if the bathroom could be added, but after speaking to them I had no doubts they would make it happen for me. Brett, the project manager, was here every day to hold my hand and calm my nerves. He is a relentless perfectionist and his attention to detail is exactly why I only trust C&S. Their staff is 10/10. They were equally as focused on detail and treated my home as if it was their own. Cleaning up as they work and always careful not to damage anything. Every sub that came in was polite, professional and respectful. Renovations are never fun, and ALWAYS stressful. But having a contractor you trust takes a level of stress off that I can’t even put into words. C&S will literally take on that stress for you. The final product exceeded my expectations. Every day I come home I’m so thankful for all the people and all the hard work that went into it. I truly can’t recommend them highly enough.
